Meet Jesse & Elizabeth

Meet the San Miguel’s! Jesse is a master trainer and dog behavior expert who grew his in-home training business into an 18,000 square foot kennel for training, daycare and boarding. Along the way he met Elizabeth, just another crazy dog mom whose reactive rescue made her cry until she booked a program with the “Chicago Dog Whisperer”. Needless to say, Elizabeth fell in love with more than the results.

Today, this dog-loving duo are proud to offer Chicago’s only structured, quiet kennel: Canine Perspective. CP offers all dogs a place to feel at home – from aggressive to super social. Jesse’s vision and structure provide a foundation for dogs to thrive; while Elizabeth helps clients with wellness, nutrition, and of course hands out lots of treats!

When not caring for the dogs of Chicago, Jesse and Elizabeth enjoy taking their own pack for adventures. Lex the Pittie, Poncho the Chihuahua, and Luna the Loon love off leash adventures with their human brother, Carlito Burrito.

With the goal of encouraging others to enjoy the off-leash life and helping more dogs like Luna remain in their homes, Canine Perspective’s PACK PORTAL is launching in January 2026.
